In this workshop, facilitated by Dee Spinkston, participants will understand positive behavior support (PBS) as a continuum of support for all students. We will identify and explore successful interventions for individuals and groups of young people. During our discussion, we will identify a continuum of interventions to promote youth self-regulation and social competency.
Learning Goals:- How to make meaning of behavior so that our response is appropriate;
- Identify proactive positive support strategies; and
- How to process behavioral incidents in culturally-appropriate ways with youth
“Takebacks” for this Workshop:- Understand PBS as a continuum of support for all students.
- Increase understanding of the connection between impact of lagging skills and challenging behavior
- Shift in perspective about challenging behavior and youth whose behavior challenges us
A continental breakfast will be provided.
