Shannon McMannus

Shannon McManus is an educator who strives to provide meaningful and fun learning experiences for people of all ages. She is currently developing a variety of STEM experiences for young children and educators in her community. After teaching high school physics and integrated science for eight years, she got her Master’s degree in environmental science and management from the University of Rhode Island. After graduation, she worked at local environmental non-profits developing educational programs and coordinating outreach and communication efforts. For six years, she worked at the Museum of Science, Boston, facilitating professional development workshops for elementary teachers implementing the Engineering is Elementary (EiE) curriculum. She became the Director of Professional Development at EiE and lead a team of twelve to support teachers nationwide improve their STEM education pedagogy and practice.
