Telesha Mervin is a passionate community advocate and activist for youth and families. She was born in South Carolina, raised in Boston, and for the last 24 years has resided in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Telesha has 20+ years of professional experience with a focus on serving youth and families. Her expertise ranges from education mental health, juvenile justice, foster care, and community advocacy. Telesha is a founding member of the Women of Action Program out of the Women's Center in Cambridge. She is a former board member of the Community Art Center of Cambridge. She served for 10 years as a board member of the 808-812 Tenant Association, Margaret Fuller House, Compass Working Capital, A Motherless child Inc. and continues multiple committees throughout Massachusetts.  She continues to serve the community in roles such as public speakers, facilitator, and trainer. Telesha is a proud graduate of the University of Massachusetts Boston with a degree in Human Services. She is pursuing a Non-Profit & Public Management Certificate at Cambridge College’s School of Management.
